Obscured

Unfortunately this is one of my failed pieces in execution.  The idea was sound but did not come to fruition as I had planed.  But, that does not mean that the project was a failure.  It still gives meaning to the concept.

The original design was to create a gravity defying sculpture with the bottom cube seeming like one corner was going into the platform while the other cubes balanced on each others points on their points.  Obviously that didn't happen, but that failure gave birth to another Idea where the obscured objects would balance against each other in unstable ways.

This one again deals with the idea of addiction and having to plan everything or having goals obscured by the addiction.  When addicted to a substance or activity it can obscure other goals in life causing a delicate balancing act between those things.  I think in the end the sculpture gets the Idea across but not as well as the original design.
