This particular piece was my interpretation of feeling caged or restricted by addiction.  I have a fair amount of experience in the field of addictions, Whether it be on the side of treating it or having one.  This particular piece deals with the latter.  I personally feel that addictions cage you in and when you try to escape from that addiction you meat multiple road blocks on the road to recovery.  You never really fully get away form it and at some point down the road paths can unfortunately become blocked by the bars of addiction.
