About Me

Hello!
My name is Alex Duncan and I live in Puyallup, WA. I am an Animator and Graphic Designer. I earned 2 degrees from the University of Northern Colorado in Computer Graphics and Graphic Design. I grew up all around the U.S. moving about every 2-3 years. I have lived and worked in not only the U.S. but Germany, Afghanistan, and Australia as well. I am a veteran of the U.S. Army where I worked as a Combat Medic for 9 years and an Orthopedic Technician for 2 years.
One of my digital pieces was chosen to be displayed in the 2016 University of Northern Colorado Juried Student Show. My work was also displayed in 2 joint shows with 2 other students and the University of Northern Colorado Foundations Show 2015. I was involved in the production of Mutonia Burnout Out 2016 as a drone pilot and camera man. Mutonia Burnout won second place for best cinematography and first place for best editing at Tropfest 2017.
I view my work as fairly simple. I can create more advanced and "Fancy" effects but I think my work shines better when I stick to my style. I focus mostly on graphic design with my work but enjoy working with 3D modeling, 3D printing, sculpture, and 2D/3D animation. My work focuses on telling a story. I really started focusing on telling stories in my work when my friends described me as a storyteller. I love telling stories and have thousands flying around my mind constantly. I find that putting these ideas into my work helps me organize my mind and gives some entertainment to those who get to enjoy my work.
